SXSW Festival: premiati “The Arbalest” e “Tower”

"The Arbalest" e "Tower" vincono i maggiori riconoscimenti all'ultima edizione del South by Southwest Festival

The Arbalest, racconto di un’ossessione segreta di un inventore di giocattoli diretto da Adam Pinney, ha vinto il premio Speciale della Giuria per un film di finzione al SXSW Festival; nella sezione documentari ha invece trionfato Tower, di Keith Maitland, che mixa sapientemente immagini di repertorio e animation in rotoscoping per ricostruire l’assalto al campus dell’esercito in Texas il 1° agosto 1966. Un riconoscimento speciale è stato assegnato al documentario Accidental Courtesy: Daryl Davis, Race & America, dove Matt Ornstein dipinge e racconta la vita del musicista e il suo insolito hobby: incontrare persone militanti nel Ku Klux Klan. Infine, una menzione speciale l’ha guadagnata anche The Seer, di Laura Dunn.
