A Toothpaste Suburb è l’album di debutto di Milo (Rory Ferreira all’anagrafe). Classe 1992, l’americano si è fatto lentamente spazio nella scena hip hop tramite alcuni acclamati EP e mixtape, ultimi dei quali Things That Happen at Day, Things That Happen at Night e Cavalcade. A Toothpaste Suburb contiene sedici tracce impreziosite da riferimenti culturali extra-HH, tra musica (Ian Mackaye), grande e piccolo schermo (Walter Matthau, Fargo) e music-nerdaggine (Pitchfork, Needledrop).
In supporto a Milo troviamo tra gli altri Open Mike Eagle (fresco di Dark Comedy, uno dei migliori dischi rap dell’anno) e Busdriver, fuori in contemporanea con l’ottimo Perfect Hair.
