Il 27 maggio 2016 !K7 pubblica il nuovo volume della serie DJ Kicks. Protagonista di questa puntata è Dâm-Funk, che ha descritto il suo mix di 19 tracce come modern-funk, definendo il genere come una combinazione di «funk, boogie, electro, house, modern-soul e ambient tones» in un «via e vai tra nostalgia e progressismo». Legata all’uscita del disco anche la pubblicazione di un 10” con i brani Starlight (The Break) degli Index e Theme From Beach Boy dei Verticle Lines. Il mix contiene, infine, un inedito del producer californiano, ovvero Believer.
