Monomania

Esce il 7 maggio 2013 il successore di Halcyon Digest, fortunato album dei Deerhunter datato 2010. S’intitola Monomania ed è stato registrato al Rare Book Room Studio di Brooklyn con Nicolas Vernhes in cabina di regia.

Il termine Monomania significa “eccessiva concentrazione su un singolo oggetto od idea” ed il leader della band, Bradford Cox ha dichiarato a Rolling Stone di esserne affetto: “I just have monomania. I always will. I’m obsessive about one thing, that there’s one thing that’s going to make me happy and it’s making music, or there’s one thing that’s going to make me happy and it’s this person”.
