Uscirà il 28 agosto 2015 via Bella Union Depression Cherry – con una copertina di velluto rosso – il nuovo attesissimo album del duo formato da Victoria Legrand e Alex Scally, Beach House.
L’uscita dell’album – prodotto e registrato dalla band assieme a Chris Coady allo Studio in the Country di Bogalusa, in Louisiana – coincide con l’annuncio di un lungo tour che il duo intraprenderà a partire da Portland, il 18 agosto 2015, per poi proseguire in Inghilterra ed Europa dalla fine di ottobre (al momento non è compresa nessuna data italiana).
«L’abbiamo registrato tra novembre 2014 e gennaio 2015 e questo periodo incrocia gli anniversari della morte sia di John Lennon che di Roy Orbison», ha affermato la band nel comunicato stampa, «il disco rappresenta in generale un ritorno alla semplicità con le canzoni a strutturarsi attorno a melodia e pochi strumenti, e la batteria ad esercitare un ruolo meno importante. Il crescente successo di Teen Dream e Bloom che si è accompagnato a palchi e stanze più grandi, ci ha portato in un posto più aggressivo e chiassoso, un posto lontano dalle nostre tendenze naturali. Qui continuiamo ad evolvere ignorando completamente il contesto commerciale in cui esistiamo».
