Threshold Of Faith

Pubblicato a sorpresa il 27 luglio 2017, Threshold Of Faith è il 12” di Ben Frost che segue a distanza di qualche mese la pubblicazione della colonna sonora della serie tv Fortitude e a un anno da The Wasp Factory, sonorizzazione dell’opera teatrale basata sull’omonimo romanzo dello scrittore scozzese Iain Banks.

Le nuove composizioni sono state incise nell’estate del 2016, a Chicago, durante due settimane di session con Steve Albini («In the summer 2016 ben frost landed in chicago to work with steve albini. over two weeks – vast systems; unstable, overloaded, and on the verge of collapse – were fed into an array of amplifiers inside a cavernous studio. Shapes were formed, speakers were torn. behind the glass albini committed live performances to tape; slashing at them intermittently with a razorblade. more than 2 hours of music was recorded. The threshold of faith ep is the first release of music from those sessions»).
