Joanthology
Il 24 maggio 2019, su Play It Again Sam, Joan As Police Woman pubblica la prima retrospettiva della sua carriera, Joanthology, curata assieme a Tom Rose. Si tratta di un triplo album che racchiude i quindici anni di carriera dell’artista statunitense, tra materiale inedito (What A World e una cover della Kiss di Prince), brani estratti dalla sua intera discografia e una raccolta di canzoni eseguite durante la session per BBC 6 Music intitolata Live At The BBC.
In supporto all’opera, Joan Wasser – vero nome della musicista di Norwalk – ha inoltre annunciato le tappe del tour dedicato: sono tre gli appuntamenti in Italia: Roma (Monk, 8 giugno), Bologna (Botanique Festival, 19 giugno) e Corigliano d’Otranto (Sud Est Indipendente Festival, 5 agosto).
L’ultimo album di Joan As Police Woman, Damned Devotion, risale al 2018; la recensione del disco è firmata da Beatrice Pagni. Di seguito l’ascolto del sopracitato What a World e di Kiss.
