In uscita l’8 settembre 2017 via ANTI-Records, How Did I Find Myself Here? rappresenta il ritorno discografico dello storico progetto The Dream Syndicate a ben ventinove anni dall’ultimo Ghost Stories. Il gruppo, nato nel 1981, si era temporaneamente sciolto dopo quel lavoro per poi riunirsi nel 2012 per un festival musicale in Spagna. L’album è anticipato dal singolo How Did I Find Myself Here, in ascolto di seguito.
