Tre nomine che ci interessano in questa edizione dei Grammy

La Recording Academy ha annunciato le nomination di tutte le categorie della sessantatreesima edizione dei Grammy, l’annuale cerimonia che premia il successo ottenuto da artisti e band all’interno dell’industria discografica e che in questa edizione assegna i riconoscimenti al meglio della musica pubblicata tra il primo settembre 2019 e il 31 agosto 2020. Presentata da Trevor Noah, la relativa cerimonia si svolgerà il prossimo 31 gennaio ma non sono ancora note le modalità, se in persona o in streaming. Dipenderà dal contenimento della curva dei contagi da Coronavirus.

Di seguito la lista dei premi e dei candidati tra cui segnaliamo Fiona Apple che gareggia nelle categorie Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song (entrambe con Shameika) e Best Alternative Music Album (Fetch the Bolt Cutters), Arca in quella per il Best Dance/Electronic Album (Kick I) e Fontaines D.C. in quella per il miglior album rock (A Hero’s Death). Inoltre Phoebe Bridgers è tra le favorite nella ambita sezione Best New Artist e ai Big Thief vanno due nomination, entrambe per il brano Not, che sono Best Rock Song e Best Rock Performance. Non ultime, una Laura Marling che con l’album Song For Our Daughter è in shortlist per il Best Folk Album e Hildur Guonadóttir, candidata per la colonna sonora di Joker. A bocca asciutta The Weeknd che non l’ha presa affatto bene. I Beastie Boys pure sono in lizza con l’ottimo docu-film Beastie Boys Story.
