L’edizione in streaming dei Golden Globe 2021, condotta da Tina Fey e Amy Pohler e svoltasi ieri sera in collegamento da New York e Los Angeles, ha premiato per la seconda volta (dopo The Social Network) la rodata coppia formata da Trent Reznor e Atticus Ross. Ai due Nine Inch Nails – e a Jon Batiste per le parti jazz – va il riconoscimento come miglior colonna sonora originale per Soul, il film della Pixar che abbiamo esaltato anche da queste parti e che si è inoltre aggiudicato l’award come miglior film d’animazione.

Sempre rimanendo in ambito musicale, anche all’Italia è arrivato un premio. Se lo è aggiudicato Laura Pausini, cantante e co-autrice – assieme a Diane Warren e Niccolò Agliardi – di Io sì (Seen), brano presente all’interno della colonna sonora del film con Sophia Loren La vita davanti a sé.
Dedico questo premio a tutti coloro che vogliono e meritano di essere “visti” – ha scritto subito dopo Laura Pausini su Instagram – e a quella ragazzina che 28 anni fa vinse Sanremo e non si sarebbe mai aspettata di arrivare così lontano. All’Italia, alla mia famiglia, a tutti coloro che hanno scelto me e la mia musica e mi hanno reso quello che sono oggi. Per il resto vincono, come ampiamente previsto, Chloé Zhao, la regista di Nomadland; Zhao è inoltre la seconda donna in 37 anni ad aggiudicarsi il Golden Globe dopo Barbra Streisand (che supporta ed esulta via social). E Minari di Lee Isaac Chung, che si è portato a casa il premio come miglior film straniero.
Altro trionfo prevedibile è quello di The Crown, la quarta stagione della serie sui reali d’Inghilterra, che si aggiudica la statuetta come miglior serie drammatica e per i suoi attori, ovvero Emma Corrin per la sua interpretazione della principessa Diana, Josh O’Connor, ovvero il principe Carlo, premiato come miglior attore in una serie drammatica e, naturalmente, Gillian Anderson per l’ottima interpretazione di Margaret Thatcher. Non ultimi, premio postumo a Chadwick Boseman (miglior attore di un film drammatico per Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), e al sequel di Borat che vince due Golden Globe: miglior commedia e miglior attore, sempre nell’ambito della commedia, a Sacha Baron Cohen.
A Jodie Foster è andato il premio come miglior attrice non protagonista per The Mauritanian. E alla protagonista de La Regina degli Scacchi, Anya Taylor-Joy, il premio come miglior attrice di una miniserie.
