Dopo l’inaugurazione delle classifiche di fine anno in campo musicale (l’ultima quella di COS ampiamente criticata da Edoardo Bridda), è il momento di parlare anche di quelle in campo cinematografico. Nella giornata di ieri è stato il National Board of Review a sancire la sua, designando The Irishman come il miglior film del 2019 e mettendo a corredo una lista degli “altri” film più belli di questa annata, tra cui segnaliamo 1917 di Sam Mendes, C’era una volta a… Hollywood di Quentin Tarantino, Le Mans ’66 – La grande sfida di James Mangold e Richard Jewell di Clint Eastwood. NBR ha anche premiato Parasite come miglior film straniero, Adam Sandler miglior attore per Uncut Gems e lo stesso Tarantino come miglior regista; The Irishman ha conquistato anche il premio alla sceneggiatura (Steven Zaillian) e quello per la miglior icona dell’anno, andato a Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro e Al Pacino.
